What is a Full Rewire?

When a property's electrical wiring has reached the end of its useful life — typically 25–40 years — a full rewire is needed. Signs include rubber/fabric insulated cables, lack of earthing, old-style round-pin sockets, regularly tripping fuses, or a failed EICR. We carry out full and partial rewires on all property types, from period terraces to new-build developments.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a full rewire take?

Typically 3–7 days for a 3-bedroom house depending on size and complexity

Will I need to redecorate?

Yes, rewiring requires chasing into walls, so some making-good will be needed. We aim to minimise damage and leave surfaces as neat as possible

Can I stay in the property?

Possible for partial rewires. For full rewires on occupied properties we can work room by room. For larger properties it's often more practical to vacate

Do you rewire commercial properties?

Yes, we carry out commercial rewires for offices, retail and industrial premises. We can work outside business hours to minimise disruption
